Thanksgiving is almost here and I am excited to the fullest! Next to that it's Christmas right after the day of Thanksgiving so everything will work out perfectly. That was exaggerated, but I say that because most people skip Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas which is really too extreme, but that's just coming from a person who appreciates all holidays.
Since it's only going to be 6 days until Thanksgiving, the main steps of roasting a perfect turkey are as follow:
- Thaw the turkey. This usually takes about 3-4 days.
- Brine it, which would take overnight, or a minimum of 12 hours.
- Roast. This step takes quite a while considering it takes a whole 4 hours to completely roast a turkey. You might also have to baste and check the temperature and that could be quite stressful as well.
- After roasting the turkey, you'd have to cool it down and carve it.
Thanksgiving isn't the best part, though. After that, people will be already setting up their Christmas trees and putting up snowflakes and lights. Usually, right after Halloween, they ignore Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas. If that's not the case, it'd be pretty "Thanksgiving-esque", meaning buying all of the presents or making them before Christmas for everyone instead of cooking. I will be most likely hand making some presents, as I have found many cool ideas on pinterest. I'm gonna list the recipe of a really interesting recipe for sugar scrubs I have discovered:
- Homemade Sugar Scrub:
- Sugar or any other kind of sugar
- Olive oil, coconut oil, or any other skin nourishing oils
- Any other skin nourishing components such as honey, green tea, cocoa, etc.
- [Optional] Fragrance, essential oils, color
- Cute container to keep it in [ex. Mason Jar]

I've found many other cool DIY's on pinterest and I have to gather the stuff to make them. The work and effort would be the best gift at the end. I honestly have plenty of things on my Christmas list, but I doubt anyone would get any of them for me. However, these are later things I'd have to do. First things first, I need to set up my Christmas tree.
Christmas is a month away but I still have the holiday spirit, hooray.
